On January 29 in the Hazara district of Behsud, some locals organized a peaceful rally against the presence of a group of Afghan security forces in the district and their stationing in the peaceful village.
The Afghan forces opened fire on the rally, killing 18 Hazara civilians and injuring more than 30 others. The local police chief asked the commandos to stop shooting the civilians. As an answer, they shoot him and killed 2 of his bodyguards.
In someday the local people tried to help and bring the injured to the hospital in Kabul and Bamiyan but the Afghan forces prevented them from leaving.
